Offered by Frisco H.I.S., Great Starts assists and supports "new or new to the area" homeschoolers
in a small group setting. Great Starts is free for current FHIS members or may be attended by non-FHIS members
for a fee.
The Curriculum was designed by experienced homeschool moms with a heart to help families that
are new to homeschooling. Monthly topics cover all areas of homeschool life. Meetings are led by
experienced and knowledgeable homeschool moms who share the desire to encourage you and help
provide resources to help make your learning journey relaxed and fun.
Meetings
Our Meetings are from 7:00-9:30 PM. We will begin our meetings in August in order to get families
off to a great beginning - BEFORE school starts!
When: 2nd Thursday of each month from August through April.
Leaders: Leaders will present the monthly topic. Small groups will have facilitators for
discussion and fellowship for the evening.
We meet as a large group and then we will break into small groups after topic
presentation for discussion and support.
The fee for Great Starts is $20 and covers supplies and copies for the
meetings.
For more information and registration, contact our New
Homeschoolers Director.
