And let us consider how we may spur one another toward love and good deeds.

~Hebrews 10:24

  Our Beginnings

Frisco H.I.S. began in 1995 when a handful of friends began meeting together in an upstairs room of The Abbey Cafe in Frisco, TX. They had all chosen to educate their children at home, and desired to meet together for encouragement, fellowship, and to share ideas.

Frisco H.I.S. was founded upon a distinctively Christian worldview and continues to be governed by Biblical principles, which have served our group well since the beginning.  That said, membership is open to all home educators, regardless of their background or religious beliefs and the support group serves all members equally.  Only volunteers and leaders are required to sign an agreement with the Statement of Faith.

Now serving approximately 200 homeschooling families, FHIS continues to provide opportunities for fellowship and support.  Through small groups, meetings, seminars, and social events, homeschool families have opportunities to become connected with other homeschooling families in our community.
